Converting net to gross
To add VAT: Gross = Net × (1 + rate ÷ 100), and the VAT charged is Gross − Net. At 20%, a £100 net price becomes £120 gross with £20 of VAT.
Net to gross is what you use when quoting a business price (usually net) and want to show the customer-facing total, or when setting a retail price from a cost price.
